Meet YOUR COACH

RILEY KERR
Founder AND HEAD COACH

My name is Riley Kerr, and I’ve dedicated my life to building better athletes. Stronger, smarter, and more resilient humans who are capable of delivering under pressure.

I grew up surrounded by health, fitness, and a sporting culture that shaped my identity from an early age. I was fortunate to be raised in an environment that valued discipline, personal growth, and setting the right example. I always knew I wanted to lead and help others find strength, both physically and mentally.

The Early Years: Martial Arts, Sport, and Discipline
I started my athletic journey in Taekwondo and Karate competing at a national level in ISKA tournaments. Martial arts taught me the value of focus, structure, and respect. Qualities that continue to guide everything I do.

Outside of this, I threw myself into every sport I could. Football, basketball, swimming, athletics and gymnastics. This broad exposure gave me a natural feel for movement, coordination, and competition, and laid the foundation for what would eventually become my career.

Bodybuilding and Breaking Records
At 15, I took a leap into the world of bodybuilding. I became the youngest IFBB competitor and National champion in Australia, winning the Teenage Men’s Physique title

This period was all about structure, discipline, and self reliance. I taught myself how to train, how to diet, how to pose, and then executed it on stage. I completed my fitness certifications while still in high school and started coaching before I had even turned 18. I loved helping others transform their bodies and their confidence through training.

Shifting from Aesthetics to Performance
As I matured, I began to feel a shift. I wanted more than aesthetics, I wanted to function and I wanted to be an athlete again.

At 18 years old, I transitioned into Olympic weightlifting and a CrossFit style of training, chasing new levels of technical skill, explosive power, and work capacity. I fell back in love with training, lifting heavy, moving well, and competing. These disciplines sharpened my understanding of biomechanics, strength development, and energy systems.

At 20 years old, I stepped into the cage for my first amateur MMA fight. It was the most demanding and rewarding experience of my life. It tested my courage, discipline, and physical preparedness in a way nothing else had. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for fighters, who often train like professionals without having the support systems they deserve. That experience lit a fire in me to change that.

Launching MMA Strength Systems
Soon after, I launched MMA Strength Systems. A platform dedicated to giving fighters real, structured, and professional strength and conditioning support. I started working with local athletes, and as their performances improved, so did my reach.

I coached fighters through weight cuts, fight camps, rehab, and performance blocks. I became more than a personal trainer, I was a performance coach, a guide, and someone who understood what it meant to walk that path. I built strong relationships and saw firsthand what it meant to earn trust and deliver results.

During this time, I also started working in rugby league. I took on the role of strength and conditioning coach for the Illawarra Steelers SG Ball team and began supporting the St. George Illawarra Dragons Academy squads. My systems and methods proved effective across both combat and team-based sports.

Pacifica High Performance: Where We Are Now
As my athlete base expanded, I realised my original brand name no longer reflected the full scope of what I offered. MMA Strength Systems served its purpose, but I wanted to create something broader, something that could speak to every athlete, no matter their sport.

That’s when Pacifica High Performance was born. A name that represents my coastal identity and commitment to elite, results based training. Grounded in the South Coast of NSW, Pacifica brings world class strength and conditioning to athletes from all walks of life. Pacifica to me represents new beginnings, growth and peace.

Today, I lead strength and conditioning for the St. George Illawarra Dragons Jersey Flegg team, mentor younger coaches, and train over 70 athletes across individual and team environments. I also provide remote coaching and consulting for athletes and coaches looking to level up.

My Goals Moving Forward

  • Grow Pacifica into one of Australia’s most trusted high-performance training brands

  • Continue developing elite level systems for combat, team, and individual sports

  • Mentor the next generation of coaches through 1-on-1 support and career guidance

  • Travel and coach internationally to gain experience and share knowledge

  • Help athletes thrive under pressure, not just survive it

  • Build a business and legacy based on integrity, results, and long-term impact

This isn’t just a career to me, it’s a calling. I’ve lived every part of the process. I’ve competed, coached, succeeded, failed, and come back stronger. I’ve seen what happens when people are given the right tools and the right support.

If you’re an athlete, a coach, or someone serious about performance, Pacifica High Performance is here to help you reach your next level.

Let’s build it together.
